Biography

Carl Joseph Schreiber, whose favorite candy bar is the TWIX, was recently selected to understudy Jon Voight who will be playing himself in the New Line Cinema production of, “Childhood – The Unauthorized Story of Maddox Jolie-Pitt.”  As an understudy to Mr. Voight, in this high production value docudrama, Carl will draw upon his past experience as co-lead in an on-going independent criminal drama series that is distributed via the internet. He will also apply the acting skills he developed over the years by appearing in over twenty independent productions filmed in the San Francisco Bay Area.

During a recent press junket David Mamet, who co-authored Maddox’s story, had this to say about Carl, “As you know the dialog I create is often explicit in nature, during casting calls Carl demonstrated such a masterful command of the profane we thought that he was suffering from Turrets Syndrome. We concluded that with a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Carl will be able travel to and from our filming location in relative safety.”

Carl embarked upon his quest to become a professional actor when he realized that earning a meager living pretending to be cops, bartenders, performing non-denominational church sermons, and cuckolded office workers would be the perfect way to apply his degree in Economics from UCLA.  To improve his skill set, Carl is currently taking professional acting classes with Nancy Berwid of First Take.

To pay for his acting classes and skin care products, Carl works as an Account Executive where he is responsible for managing key accounts in the US, Asia, and the Pacific Rim. Carl is willing to commute or travel for productions. If you decide to cast Carl in your production, he may require you to forge a note from his primary care physician as last month he ran out of hair gel and was forced to utilize all of his accrued sick leave.
